🏭 Manufacturing Process FAQs

Q. What is the Dentic Med production process?

Our instruments are manufactured through a precise, multi-step process:

  1. Material Selection: Premium stainless steel (304, 410, 420) and brass (CZ121).

  2. Material Testing: Each batch undergoes strict quality control and metallurgical testing.

  3. Forging & Shaping: Expert craftsmen form and anneal components for durability.

  9. Inspection & Stamping: Instruments are stamped, inspected, and approved before packaging.

  10. Packaging & Labeling: Each product is carefully packed with lot numbers for traceability.

Instrument Care & Maintenance FAQs

Q. What are the key steps for instrument maintenance?

Follow these four essential steps:

  1. Cleaning

  2. Lubrication

  3. Inspection

  4. Sterilization

Cleaning

Rinse instruments immediately after use in pH-neutral distilled water.
Use a soft brush and mild detergent for manual cleaning, or use an ultrasonic cleaner for optimal results.
Never use bleach or harsh chemicals, as they cause corrosion and staining.

Lubrication

Lubricate hinged or jointed instruments after every cleaning cycle with a surgical-grade lubricant.
Lubrication reduces wear, prevents corrosion, and maintains smooth instrument action.

Inspection

Before sterilization, inspect every instrument for alignment, sharpness, or stiffness.
Ensure ratchets, joints, and cutting edges function correctly.
Replace or repair damaged instruments immediately to maintain safety and precision.

Sterilization

Recommended methods:

  • Autoclave (Steam Sterilization): 132–135°C for 5–15 minutes using distilled water.

  • Chemiclave (Chemical Sterilization): Ideal for heat-sensitive items.

  • Dry Heat (Not Recommended): May cause dullness and discoloration.

Ensure instruments are completely dry before storage to prevent corrosion.

Storage Tips
  • Store in a dry, clean environment.

  • Never stack or mix instruments to prevent damage.

  • Use silica packs or desiccants to control moisture.

  • Protect sharp tips with guards (but remove before sterilization).

Preventing Corrosion and Stains

Corrosion occurs due to moisture, improper drying, or residue buildup.
Regular cleaning, full drying cycles, and passivation help prevent it.
Brown or orange stains are usually chemical deposits — not rust.
Test with a soft eraser: if removed easily, it’s a stain; if pitted, it’s corrosion.
